About the Event
We’re excited to invite all Bauer Karate Academy students and their families to join us as we represent BKA in this year’s Oatka Festival Parade! This is a fun opportunity to show our dojo spirit and connect with the community.
Date: Saturday, July 12th
Arrival: by 10:30 AM (meet on Lent Avenue)
Parade Start: 11:00 AM
What to Wear
Marchers: Please wear a Bauer Karate T-shirt and/or dojo colors (Black, Red, Blue). Do not wear your uniform or belt. Please remember that you are representing BKA—do not wear anything that conveys a political or potentially controversial message.
Demo Team: Please wear your full uniform (gi top, gi pants, belt, and a neutral-colored undershirt). Unlike in class, athletic sneakers (neutral-colored—no bright or flashy colors) must be worn.
Demo Team Participation
Demo Team members will be performing during the parade and do not need to RSVP on this form. If any family members of Demo Team participants plan to walk with the group, they should RSVP here so we can plan accordingly.
Headbands for Students
Students whose families RSVP by Tuesday, July 8th will receive a free BKA headband to wear during the parade! Anyone who signs up after July 8th may not be guaranteed a headband and will receive one only if extras are available.
